CREATING A COMMUNITY
Strenghths I Have to Share:
1) 10 years of experience as a coordinator (DSP&S and now BSI)
2) Strong knowledge of curriculum, budget, course scheduling, campus processes.
3) Knowledge of research design.
4) Experience as a counselor. Knowledge of inter-relationship between Student Services of Instruction and “intrusive counseling” models.
5. Ability to coordinate and conduct effective productive meetings.
Things I need help with:
1) Involving more campus members in BSI activities.
2) Creating an effective website and using technology to effectively share and communicate on campus.
3) Integrating BSI efforts with other campus efforts that have a connection to basic skills concerns/students/activities.
I’d love to see how other campuses have written the job descriptions for their coordinator positions. If anyone could, please forward me a copy to clsmith@peralta.edu. Thanks.
